Yvette Cornelia is a violinist, vocalist, and composer based in Los Angeles, CA.

Yvette writes songs that organically blend her diverse influences. In her music can be heard elements of classical, folk music from around the world, minimalist groove, and surreal storytelling. While studying at CalArts, she formed her dream band of multi-instrumentalists, an impressive nine-person ensemble fronted by a female vocal trio and string section.

Moving between traditional popular song-forms and experimental improvisations, the band features the talents of Kathryn Shuman (voice), Elsa Lund (voice), Rachel Iba (violin/voice), Patrick Behnke (viola), Daniel Gonzalez (clarinet/keys), Caleb Veazey (electric guitar), Ben Finley (bass), and Nick Hon (drums). Their recent performances include playing at the iconic Troubadour and as part of CalArts New Works Festival. Their first full-length album is currently in the works.
